RANDOM THOUGHTS & REFLECTIONS
I am so proud of my kids! They are the true blessings in my life. I have just returned from a trip to Colorado to attend my son Dustin's graduation from Naropa University. He graduated with a 3.9 grade average and earned two degrees. One in Writing and another in Environmental Studies. He has worked so hard for everything he has, and for everything he will become. He has grown into an outstanding young man with capabilities far beyond my imagination. You can visit Dustin's blog and sample his writing at this link. Animal Verse .
Dustin and his wife Emily are expecting their first child in August- a baby boy. I am absolutely thrilled with the idea that I'm going to be a Grandmother! My daughter Brittny, whom I wrote about in the Chicken Soup For The Soul book, has grown into an amazing young woman. She is intelligent, mature and wonderful. Brittny knows who she is and knows what she wants out of life...and I couldn't be more proud of her!
Our local newspaper, The Anderson Herald Bulletin, interviewed me for a Mother's Day story about the Chicken Soup Book and mentioned Sleeping With The Dogs, the book and the blog. You can read the article here:The Anderson Herald Bulletin It's time to get back to writing and blogging...Janine

Janine that was lovely, and I am so happy for you GRANDMA!! It is a special relationship we have with our Grandbabies. I only wish mine wasn't so far away. How is the book coming along? Eve and I visited the shelter where they adopted Buddy for me. I could only go down a couple of rows of those poor sweet (sad!) animals. I started crying and we had to leave. So I will be very interested in reading you and Rhonda's book.

It is out of my imagination how proud you must be. It sounds like your children have grown into wonderful adults and I be tempted to turn to you for advice one day when I will be ready to have children. Congratulations on becoming a grandmother :)

Hey Rene! I went to your blog but couldn't get the pages to all load...not your fault, it's mine. I am forced to use a dial up connection right now, which is really ruining my internet/blogging/etc...will try again to leave a comment on your blog. I was able to read the article on being an A-list blogger. Great article, but oh how my face is red right now! Guess I'm still at "Z" for the time being, lol!
